Student Wellbeing & Support

At Johnson Road School, we believe that student wellbeing is fundamental to academic success and personal growth. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.

Our Holistic Approach to Wellbeing

Our wellbeing framework encompasses physical, mental, emotional, and social health. We work collaboratively with students, families, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support.

  • Pastoral Care System: A robust system of deans, form teachers, and counsellors to provide individual support.
  • Counselling Services: Confidential and professional counselling available for all students.
  • Health Centre: On-site nurse for immediate medical needs and health education.
  • Peer Support Programs: Older students mentoring younger ones to build positive relationships.
  • Restorative Practices: Focusing on repairing harm and building strong relationships within the school community.
  • Digital Citizenship Education: Teaching safe and responsible online behaviour.
