Who Can Enrol?

Johnson Road School operates an enrolment scheme. Students living within our designated home zone are entitled to enrol. For families living outside the home zone, places may be available through our ballot system.

We cater to students from Year 0 (Kindergarten) to Year 13.

Key Enrolment Dates for 2026

• Term 1, 2026: Applications close: September 29, 2025. Ballot held: October 10, 2025.
• Term 2, 2026: Applications close: February 28, 2026. Ballot held: March 10, 2026.
• Term 3, 2026: Applications close: May 29, 2026. Ballot held: June 10, 2026.
• Term 4, 2026: Applications close: August 29, 2026. Ballot held: September 10, 2026.

Please note: These dates are for out-of-zone applications. In-zone applications are accepted throughout the year.

How to Enrol

1. Check Your Zone: Use our Zone Checker Tool to confirm if your address is within our home zone.
2. Download Application Pack: Access the full enrolment application pack from our Apply page.
3. Gather Documents: Prepare all necessary documents (birth certificate, proof of address, previous school reports, etc.). A full list is in the application pack.
4. Submit Application: Complete the application form and submit it along with all supporting documents to the school office or via email to enrolment@johnsonroadschool.nz.
5. Interview/Meeting: For out-of-zone applicants, a meeting with the Principal may be arranged.
6. Confirmation: You will be notified of the outcome of your application.
