Johnson Road School was founded in 1985 by a group of visionary educators and community leaders who believed in creating a school that would serve as a beacon of learning and community spirit in Auckland. Starting with just 50 students and a handful of dedicated teachers, the school quickly grew, establishing itself as a place of academic excellence and strong community ties.
Over the decades, Johnson Road School has seen significant developments, including the expansion of our campus facilities, the introduction of innovative learning programs, and the continuous growth of our student body. We have celebrated numerous achievements in academics, sports, and arts, and our alumni have gone on to make significant contributions in various fields across New Zealand and globally.
In 2005, we introduced our highly successful Year 0 Digital Literacy Program, providing a nurturing foundation for our youngest learners. This was followed by the integration of advanced technology in classrooms in 2015, further enhancing our commitment to modern education.
Today, we continue to build on this proud legacy, adapting to the evolving needs of our students while staying true to our founding principles of Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga, and Rangatiratanga.
